Play Time

As you can see, I'm getting quite a bit of playing time these days, sometimes solo and sometimes with Dennis Bouwman who has been the main and usually only member of the 'band' in Justine Vandergrift Band. We've been planning a spring tour for ourselves that involves playing on board the VIA rail train all the way to Toronto for a couple gigs and Canadian Music Week and then back to Vancouver where we'll play a few shows and then head back home to a snow free Edmonton.  The goal right now is to get as much play time as possible. I've been learning so much about performance lately. Busking style gigs have really pushed me to up my repertoire, endurance, attitude and creativity. It is in these unusual settings that I get some of the most interesting and affirming feedback about my songs and/or the songs I cover.

At the end of April I will no longer be a part time administrative assistant. I'm looking forward to more play time, to teaching guitar lessons and prepping for a new album!

More soon...

Much love to my readers and I hope to see you round the bend.
