Over the past few months, I’ve gathered a group of my favorite Edmonton folk musicians and made a compilation album called 'An Edmonton Christmas Live Off the Floor.' This 11 track album was recorded live off the floor (no click track, all instruments in at once, no auto-tune or edits) and mixed by Mitchell Veldhuisen at Fieldhouse Records and mastered by Stew Kirkwood at Sound Extractor Studio. Original and traditional Christmas songs recorded by Jey Witten, Bill Bourne, Joe Nolan, Jenie Thai, Alex Vissia, Jay Gilday, Aaron Krogman, Dennis Bouwman, Mike Dunn, Braden Gates and myself. You may also notice in the attachments that the cover art was done once again by my favorite Edmonton artist Jennie Vegt.

We believe we achieved our goal with this album of capturing a live, warm, honest, spirit of Christmas sound that will hopefully be enjoyed for many years to come. We are releasing the CD in Edmonton on Sunday at The Artery, 9535 Jasper Ave, Edmonton, Alberta. Doors at 7pm, show starts at 7:30pm. All artists will be present to perform the song you will take home on your complimentary CD.
